VWV was started by Chairman Mark Steinhobel 35 years ago, and for the last 20 of those years has focused mainly on high-level corporate conferences.
In more recent years, the company supplemented this expertise with a drive to produce more public-focused events in the form of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the FIFA World Cup South Africa, African Cup of Nations South Africa, Champions of African Nations, MTV Africa Music Awards, Glo CAF Football player of the Year Awards, and South African Television Awards, to name but a few.
To deliver these experiences, we have seven in-house specialised business units:
Events: Event production and management.
Digital: Graphic design, content management and presentation,
digital and mobile technology design and implementation.
Production: Film and video production.
Technical: Projection, lighting, LED, effects.
Stand 66: Sets/props/exhibitions design and construction.
Logic: RSVP, guest logistics, gifting and guest experience.
Tribe: Activations, hosting and brand ambassadors.
These are underpinned by centralised strategy and creative, clients and finance divisions.
VWV is the most awarded agency in South Africa, with 10 Loerie Grand Prix, 42 Loerie Golds and 58 Loerie Silvers to its credit, as well as over 150 international awards.
